William P. Lazarus

AUTHOR ~ WRITER

You have reached the website of one of the most versatile authors in print or electronic media. You may never have heard of me, but I ghost write for individuals and publishers around the world, and I have worked as an author, newspaper reporter, magazine editor and a content provider for the World Wide Web.  I’m also a religious historian with 14 books on that topic, including Wiley Publishing's famous Comparative Religion for Dummies.

On this site, you’ll find everything from novels to love poems, essays, Power Point presentations, magazine articles and short stories.  From fiction to non-fiction, humor to serious, you’ll discover something worth reading.

Most of it is free and available to the public.

A graduate of Kent State University, I now teach communication classes at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.  I’ve also taught at Cuyahoga Community College (Ohio), Yale University, the University of New Haven (Conn.) and Daytona State College, among other places.  Most of the educational tools and teachers aids were developed for the classroom.  I also taught high school in Florida, so I know the information works for young students, too.  There’s even a game I created, called Choices, which is designed to help children learn to make good decisions.   It’s free, too.

The Gospel Truth

The Gospel Truth

In my university classes on the Bible, students are often disturbed because history and text do not match up very well.  I tell them the Bible’s value lies in its moral and ethical teachings, not in whether it is historically accurate.   This book is dedicated to everyone who understands and appreciates the difference.

CQI in the Classroom

Educators will find a wealth of ideas in this detailed book based on the working of educational guru Dr. Robert Cornesky.   He borrowed a business system called Continuous Quality Improvement and shifted it to education, where teachers emphasize accumulating knowledge rather than focusing on grades.  The book proves guideless as well as supporting charts and evidence to buttress Cornesky’s arguments.   This book has become an industry standard, adopted by such institutions as Penn State University and Southwest Missouri State University.

From speed racers to stock car drivers, a little resort community on the East Coast of Florida somehow morphed into the capital of car racing.  Starting in 1903, when two enterprising hotel owners staged a race to draw clients to the glittering multi-million dollar NASCAR events of today, Daytona Beach has featured some of the most famous drivers and events first on the hard-packed beach and now in the world’s most famous racing venue, Daytona International Speedway.    See how the city and sport grew together in this colorful account filled with photos rarely seen by the general public.  The book includes a CD for extra excitement.
